Therapies I offer

Spiritual Healing

I am a full qualified Spiritual Healer, trained by the Raphael School Association and registered with the British Complementary Medicine Association. (To visit The Raphael School Association's webpage Click Here ). Healing is a very relaxing therapy yet has very powerful results in all areas of body, mind and spirit. I find that it gradually opens up the understanding of how one’s present condition has arrived and so root causes can be addressed.

About Healing

Healing or “the laying on of hands” is one of the most ancient forms of health care, found in every culture and tradition all over the world. It is a non-invasive therapy, where the client remains fully clothed, and is usually seated or lying on a couch.

Healers believe that they can channel healing energy to the client. They believe that by doing so it will encourage the client’s own body to heal itself. Healing can take place anywhere but is often in the client’s or healer’s own home or workplace, in a centre, or in the doctor’s surgery.

The healer will explain what is going to happen, answer any questions the client might have and then work with the hands either touching the body or just above it, depending upon what the client’s wishes in this respect. The session can last from around 20 minutes to an hour. As with any other therapy the healer has to listen to the client and take case notes before the treatment begins.

Distant or “Absent” healing may also take place, where the healer will meditate upon or pray for at a distance for the client or patient, sometimes at an agreed time so that both healer and client can be relaxed.

Healing is usually a relaxing or soothing experience, but every session is different and it is best to be completely open to all possibilities rather than have a definite investment in the outcome. Healers believe that the healing energy always knows exactly what to do and true healing begins from the inside and works outwards, so physical symptoms can be the last ones to go.

The client or patient does not have to belong to a particular church or religion, because healing is neutral and does not depend on what the client thinks or believes. However, if the client knows that the healing will bring a positive outcome of some kind and wants to feel better, that will be helpful.

Scientists have proved many times over in clinical trials that healing has a positive physiological effect on the body’s healing process. Therefore it is beneficial for almost any illness. Scientists also know that everything in the physical world can be viewed not only as matter but also as energy. Under an electron microscope matter becomes space and moving electrons. By focusing loving energy on the body, the evidence is that the healer can change the pattern of the electrons for the benefit of the client. The body always does its best to come back into balance and healing energy aids it in its task.

Sessions cost £20 and last at least an hour. The first session will be an hour and a half as a case history needs to be taken.

Hair Mineral Analysis

I have used hair analysis since 1999, both for myself and for clients and have found it an excellent tool, which brings results.

Hair mineral analysis is a very good way of assessing mineral imbalances and can show you exactly which minerals are deficient, which minerals are excessive, which are in the reference range and near the ideal level and above all, what the ratios between minerals are. Through this you can properly assess whether your body is in the alarm stage, the resistance stage, the exhaustion stage or is progressing towards recovery. (See my article “Stress and Nutrition” for further details.) You can tell whether your thyroid or your adrenals are under or over active and whether you have a fast or a slow metabolism. Sufferers from chronic fatigue, especially those whose condition has resulted from a viral infection, often have a similar profile; slow metabolisers, with typically cold hands and feet.

The analysis, together with the patient history can take into account the individual’s special needs and then a program of correct supplementation and dietary guidance can be given. Some foods will exacerbate the problem and some will encourage the body to balance. When a program has been running for 60 to 90 days then a retest will show exactly what has been achieved, and the program can be constantly fine tuned as you move back towards recovery. The ability to see the evidence in graph form with explanations, means you can understand what is happening and see that there may be improvements even though you might not feel them immediately and even though you might go through reactions as toxic metals are chased out of the body. Sometimes a lot of minor improvements have to take place before the combined effect carries you up to a new energy level but most people notice a difference within the first two to three weeks of supplementation.

I can illustrate what I mean with a story from my own life. My symptoms seemed to indicate that I needed magnesium for a number of reasons and I supplemented with it for a number of years, sometimes on its own and sometimes with calcium, even after I was well. My first analysis, however, showed very high calcium levels, which were opposing other minerals and preventing them from being absorbed. The problem was not so much with magnesium at that time, but with potassium. When I used potassium within a well balanced program, my muscle cramps after vigorous exercise disappeared, my hands and feet began to warm up in the house and I felt a lot less excitable and could deal with stressful situations much more easily.

I do not think you can treat a problem until you know what it is. Then you can take steps to correct it. Understanding what is happening to your body in a stressful situation and the nutrients needed to deal with it, is vital. When it is combined with a detailed knowledge of what your personal mineral status is you can see exactly why you are experiencing particular symptoms and what needs to be done to make the body return to balance.

This is not of course the whole story. If a stressor remains in your life, then you will always be struggling to build up the correct nutrients. In a situation of constant stress nutrients will be gobbled up at an alarming rate trying to mobilise the body into recovery. It is not the stressor that is the problem, but your reaction to it. There is always the choice - to react or not to react. If a work or home situation is intolerable there are two choices, either to leave it or to choose not to react. The third possibility is not to be entertained and that is that you are a victim of circumstances and cannot do anything about it. Once you are in this mode your energy plummets and you are locked into a deep hole, full of anger and self hatred because you have not been able to take either of the other two paths.

But of course, when you are terribly fatigued, you do not have the energy to deal with much. I feel that using hair analysis is a major way forward to correct the imbalances, resulting in greater energy levels and then you can deal with the external stressors more adequately.

I find this work very exciting and the results are very promising. It takes time to unravel years of illness and it won’t happen in an instant but it is perfectly feasible to return to health, once you understand what is happening and you give the body exactly what it needs.

It is not expensive. There is no push to sell you supplements as the report gives dietary guidelines which can be followed by themselves. The analysis and report costs me £34 and I charge £15 to expedite it. It is sent to a licensed laboratory in the States for analysis, via an excellent company called MineralCheck. (See- MineralCheck ) I can send you details and also go through the report with you if you decide to go ahead. If you take the supplements it costs nothing for this explanation but if you do not want to take supplements I charge out at a modest £15 per hour to go through it with you. This can be done over the phone, so it is not necessary to see you face to face if you live far away. I have a lot of clients whom I don’t see in person and they progress just as well.

Flower Essences

I have been working with Australian Bush Flower Essences for a number of years and found them extremely helpful both for myself and my clients. I am a qualified practitioner and am now working towards my advanced practitioner certificate. They are quite amazing and bring some wonderful results, often first on the emotional level but then on the physical, mental and spiritual levels too. I take a case history and ascertain what it is you want to address. I then like to spend time in meditation to decide which one is the correct one. Sometimes it is not the most obvious one, which is the one you need. Flower Essences are very inexpensive £5 for up to a combination of four essences, £6 for a combination of five to nine essences and £7 for a combination of 10 or above. My time is charged out at £15 per hour so a 20 minute consultation would be £5 and a 40 minute consultation would be £10 and so on. They bring about a lot of change for the better, most often with no ill effects at all.

Photon Wave

I have a machine called a Photon Wave which delivers coloured light into the body via the eyes .
See website http://www.rainbow-flash.com/index_en.htm.

Light is not just something that helps you to see the world around you but also it affects many areas of the brain like the brain stem, the hypothalamus, the limbic system, the autonomic nervous system and so on. Different colours have different effects, some stimulating and some calming. For example if you were in a room painted bright red it would not be as relaxing as a room painted in a pastel blue. Try standing on one leg and if you can do that easily, try standing on one leg with your eyes shut and see whether it is as easy as with your eyes open. You will then see that light is necessary for balance. It is also necessary for temperature control, for appetite and thirst signals, for feeling bright, for memory both auditory and visual and many, many other functions, which we take for granted.

It is amazing how different colours will produce different reactions and many conditions can be improved - from chronic fatigue syndrome, addictions, candida, allergies, eczema and pain, to menopausal symptoms, depression, relief from emotional hurt, headaches, dyslexia and ADHD. Some of these areas have been extensively researched.

A treatment begins with a visual field test and a detailed case history and then the first session always begins with a detox program before any other form of treatment is given in subsequent sessions. Coloured light therapy has been going for over 50 years with excellent results and it is quite amazing what the different reactions are when different colours are used.

The first session takes some time and is charged out at £25 and then subsequent treatments are charged on a pro rata basis of £20 per hour. If the treatment lasts half an hour then payment is £10 and so on. It is usual for a number of sessions to be needed so better if the client lives not too far away from the practitioner.
